Press release available only in Italian

August 26: happy birthday Peggy! Between music and theater Peggy Guggenheim collection celebrates the birthday of the American collector.

Pivotal figure in the history of Twentieth century, passionate collector, discoverer and friend of artists, was born on August 26, 1898 Peggy Guggenheim, farsighted patron who left an indelible mark in the artistic career of the twentieth century.

Wednesday, August 26 at 9 pm, in the garden of Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, the historic residence of the Grand Canal where Peggy lived from 1949 to 1979, the year of his death, and today casket of his valuable collection, is the traditional concert reserved for Friends of Collection to celebrate the birthday of the collector. Performing a duo that will come near two instruments rarely pose together: guitar and clarinet. Selene Framarin, clarinet, mime and song, and Gilbert Imperial, guitar, will compete in a non-traditional musical repertoire of the mold, in which we investigate in particular the relationship between music and theater, with no historical or stylistic barriers.
