B.E. Beyond Environment, an exhibition of works, videos, projects and documents by Gianni Pettena at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lissone (MB)

From September 26 to November 29, 2015, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lissone (MB) will host the exhibition BE (acronym of Beyond Environment) that explores the interplay between architecture, Land Art and Performance Art emerged through the collaboration of Gianni Pettena with artists working in America in the Seventies.
The exhibition, curated by Amit Wolf and Emanuele Piccardo, presents about thirty works, videos and documents concerning the activities of Pettena in relation to the contemporary research of Allan Kaprow, Robert Smithson, Gordon Matta-Clark, and the Radical movement in which militated UFO groups, Superstudio, 9999 and Ugo La Pietra.
During his first trips to the United States, Gianni Pettena (known internationally as "anarchitect" definition coined by him to define his professional attitude) he produced a series of environment that denote a feeling akin to research masters like Gordon Matta-Clark and Robert Smithson.
