A book that ofers a very interestng picture of the world’s diferent eatng habits, traditons and cultures - said Sala - and reminding everyone on how the food theme is connected to the theme of knowledge, one of the purposes of the Universal Exhibiton”. “Global challenges like those of feeding the planet require global solutons”, said Gálvez, explaining how “the world producton of vegetable oil has increased from 64 million tonnes in 1995 to 160 million tons in 2012, in just 15 years; while the world's populaton will grow from the current 7 billion people to 8 billion people in 2030 and up to 9 billion in 2050”. "The Right Oil - ended Fatguso - provides an in-depth picture, through numbers, statstcs and sources, that was not easy to reconstruct, of the main varietes of palm, canola, soybean, olive, sunfower oil and the diferent opportunites they ofer to meet the global demand; a theme that is likely to contnue to be extremely topical”.
