Nicola Lagioia winner of the 69th Premio Strega and Katja Petrowskaja winner of the 2nd European Premio Strega

As per tradition, at the Ninfeo di Villa Giulia in Rome, after midnight on July 2, was proclaimed the winner of the sixty-ninth Premio Strega. At the end of the poll of 368 votes cast (equal all'80,21% of those eligible to vote, 276 votes and 92 print and online 1 void ballots) the President of the polling Francesco Piccolo, winner of the Premio Strega 2014, and Tullio De Mauro, president of the Foundation Bellonci, proclaimed winner:
La Ferocia (Einaudi) Nicola Lagioia, with 145 votes.
The author has received from Giuseppe D'Avino, CEO of Strega Alberti Benevento, the prize of 5,000 Euros and the classic magnum bottle of Strega liqueur.

It is the Ukrainian writer Katja Petrowskaja - with his novel written in German Forse Esther, translated in Italian by Adelphi - to win the second edition of the European Premio Strega
