Pettena and Zanghi with 'Immagini di uno stare' at the Gallery of Modern Art in Palermo

Press release available only in Italian

The Gallery of Modern Art in Palermo, from June 27 to September 7, 2015, will feature a dialogue between the original painting of William Marc Zanghi, one of the most important representatives of the young Sicilian art, whose figuration is inserted on the path traced by the protagonists of the so-called "School of Palermo", and architectural interventions by Gianni Pettena one of the most recognized figures in radical architecture, founded in Florence in the late Sixties.
The project is part of the cycle of exhibitions held in the temporary space of GAM in Palermo to enhance the circuit of contemporary active artists in Sicily. This additional step has the distinction of creating a greater attention to the comparison between the observer and the observed object, content and container - that Zanghi has always emphasized in his research - thanks to the installation of Gianni Pettena which for the occasion offers some of the works created in 1968 right in the Sicilian capital.
The exhibition, curated by Lorenzo Bruni, will present 30 paintings and sculptures by William Marc Zanghi places in the museum in Palermo, specially modified by three interventions Gianni Pettena.
