Ocean Voyager joins the Grand Large Yachting Group

Grand Large Yachting (Allures, Outremer, Garcia and AluMarine) is developing its range of services for professionals by expanding into day charter construction.

Founded in 1997 by CIM-Nautitech, Ocean Voyager designs and manufactures catamarans for the professional day charter market. The range comprises five 53' to 78' models, capable of accommodating 20 to 140 passengers. Ocean Voyager catamarans receive the Classification Society approvals (Bureau Veritas) and are compliant with the regulations of most of the operating flag.

Grand Large Yachting, a leading manufacturer of ocean cruising yachts, known for its Allures, Outremer and Garcia brands, is now diversifying into vessels for professionals. After its takeover in 2013 of Alumarine, which specialises in aluminium boats for port- related purposes and the transport of passengers, with the acquisition of Ocean Voyager the Group is continuing to develop into the manufacture of day charter vessels for the tourism industry.

Xavier Desmarest, Director General of the Grand Large Yachting Group stated,
"We have great faith in the potential for growth in the sphere of activities linked to marine tourism. The Ocean Voyager vessels are ideal to enable us to develop into this area, for they are well-known for their solid reputation for quality and reliability and have many references from all four corners of the world. By joining the Group, Ocean Voyager will be able to benefit from Outremer Yachting's specialist experience in the construction of high- performance composite catamarans. Ocean Voyager will also benefit from close industrial synergies with the rest of the Group. And lastly, at the commercial level, Alumarine and Ocean Voyager will be able to work as a team in order to make contact with professional customers."

Bruno Voisard, CEO of Nautitech Catamarans says,
"The strong growth in our business, particularly since our merger into the Bavaria Group, requires that we concentrate our attention and our industrial resources on manufacturing our Nautitech range. We are delighted that the Ocean Voyager business has been taken over by the Grand Large Yachting Group, a well-known figure in our industry. We shall continue to collaborate on a day charter version of the Nautitech Open 40, which will complete the Ocean Voyager range."
