Sol d'Oro Southern Hemisphere: first edition underway from the Apennines to the Andes - a planetary challenge for olive oli.

Santiago, Chile, will be home 29 September-3 October 2014 to Sol d'Oro's "twin competition" dedicated to extra virgin olive oils produced in the Southern Hemisphere.

Six countries will take part.

The same regulations and the same panel leader as for Sol d'Oro will ensure that Sol d'Oro Southern Hemisphere achieves uniformity in assessments between the two events.

Seventy samples of extra virgin olive oil have been entered from Argentina, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Australia and South Africa for the first edition of Sol d'Oro Southern Hemisphere, scheduled 29 September-3 October in Santiago, Chile.
