Joel Eriksson and Tom Dillmann return as Jaguar TSC Racing reserve and test drivers

  • Jaguar TCS Racing announce reserve and test driver line-up ahead of the 2024 season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship
  • Swede Joel Eriksson will continue to support the British team for the second year
  • Tom Dillmann remains with Jaguar TCS Racing for the fourth season together
  • The 2024 season of the all-electric World Championship begins in Mexico City this weekend

Joel and Tom’s focus will include simulator support at the team’s new headquarters in Kidlington, Oxfordshire. They will also assist with testing of the Jaguar I-TYPE 6 to ensure the car is as competitive as possible as the British team head into the second year of the Gen3 era of the all-electric World Championship.

Last season Eriksson provided support to the Jaguar TCS Racing team, travelling to all 16 races as reserve driver. Joel raced in Formula 4, Formula 3 European Championship and DTM before competing in the Formula E rookie test in Marrakesh for DS Virgin Racing in 2018. The 25-year-old went on to be named the official test and reserve driver for Dragon Racing in 2019 and took part in his second Formula E rookie test. He made his debut in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship in the 2021 Puebla E-Prix for Dragon Penske Autosport and then finished the final seven races of the season for the team.

Alongside Joel is experienced reserve and test driver Tom Dillmann. The 33-year-old has been a vital member of Jaguar TCS Racing for the last three seasons. Dillmann has been racing since the early 2000s and has competed in around 300 races during that time. Tom’s career highlights include being crowned champion of the 2016 Formula V8 3.5 series and 2010 German Formula 3. Dillmann is no stranger to Formula E having competed in 23 E-Prixs since 2017 with the Venturi and NIO Formula E teams.

Joel and Tom join the world-class driver line-up of Mitch Evans and Nick Cassidy.

"Our reserve, test and simulator drivers are absolutely integral to the team’s success and play an incredibly important role within Jaguar TCS Racing.

We are very pleased to extend our relationship with both Joel and Tom. They played a crucial role cementing the Jaguar I-TYPE 6 as the most successful race car on the grid in the 2023 season, and we are excited for both drivers to continue their role in the Jaguar TCS Racing family."
