Through December 31, 2023, new 2024 Nissan LEAF vehicles may qualify for part of the U.S. federal EV tax credit provided they meet the following criteria:
Nissan has been able to certify that 2024 LEAF vehicles produced in the U.S., meet the “battery component” requirements of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 and may now qualify for the $3,750 tax credit. The LEAF and its battery are assembled in Smyrna, Tennessee.
"For more than a decade, the LEAF has been one of the most attainable electric vehicles on the market," said Judy Wheeler, divisional vice president, Nissan U.S. Sales and Regional Operations. "Eligibility for part of the federal EV tax credit puts LEAF within reach for even more customers who are ready to make the switch to an EV."
Information about the Nissan LEAF is available here. Interested buyers should consult with their tax advisor about any potential federal and state tax credit eligibility.
