Pedrali at Maison & Objet 2018

The Italian furniture company is exhibiting at the Paris trade fair dedicated to home decor and lifestyle trends

Mornico al Serio, January 2018 – #pedrali, the Italian firm which manufactures contemporary designer furnishings for public spaces, offices and homes, returns to Paris for the 2018 edition of M&O, the meeting place for home décor and #interiordesign professionals in all its essence, which will be held from 19-23 January.

Situated within Now! #design A Vivre (Pavilion 7 Stand A51), the section dedicated to premium international #design brands, Pedrali’s stand has been curated by the Calvi Brambilla studio from Milan. It consists of a central area featuring teal as the predominant colour, with two niches that showcase the #pedrali collections, playing on the contrasts between warm and cool hues.

The #design of the stand takes inspiration from the lifestyle and home atmospheres of the 1950s American experimental architecture of the Case Study Houses and highlights the versatility of Pedrali’s furnishing solutions for outdoor areas and living spaces, which interact with each other through artful contrasts. Cool tones feature in the outdoors corner, where the contemporary styling of Reva and Nolita takes center stage, lit by the diffused light of the wireless lamp Giravolta. Instead, warm tones have been used for the indoor area, where the company will present, among other things, the new version of FOX, the elegant and distinctive-looking chair designed by Patrick Norguet, now made with leather upholstery. Other stand- out pieces among those on display include the Nym chairs, made from a wood finished water-based paint, which offer a contemporary take on traditional English Windsor chairs; the Babila collection, which cleverly treads the line between tradition and innovation, and the elegant upholstered armchair Vic.

Bio water-based paints: an innovative development for Pedrali

Pedrali, always been committed to environmental sustainability throughout every stage of the manufacturing process, announces that it only uses water-based paints composed mainly of plant-derived resins; these paints combine quality with care for the environment. Formulated with 40% raw materials sourced from “waste” plant substances, these paints offer durability, chemical- and light-resistance, and industrial usability comparable to classic petroleum-based products, but with a drastic reduction of the fossil-derived component. This allows high-quality products to be manufactured, totally in line with the most advanced “green policies”. The result? A healthier and less hazardous working environment, given that these paints are non-flammable; less air pollution, and vast energy savings, leading to a reduction in CO2 emissions. The use of #bio water-based paints represents yet another leap forward for the company towards environmental sustainability, enabling #pedrali to pursue a path in obtaining important international certifications, and to consistently apply these principles, which are a fundamental part of the Made in #pedrali ethos, to every step in the production process of its collection, consisting of chairs, tables, lamps and interior accessories.
