New Opel Crossland X with Innovative Factory-Installed LPG Version

Rüsselsheim. The stylish yet functional #opel #crosslandx is now available with the benefits of low fuelling costs and a tax concession for using LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas). The urban crossover with #suv looks is also the first LPG vehicle with an innovative electronic multivalve system that improves the low-fuel driving experience compared with conventional LPG cars.
The #crosslandx is powered by an especially efficient 60 kW/81 hp 1.2-litre LPG engine (New European Driving Cycle fuel consumption LPG: urban 8.4 l/100 km; extra-urban 6.0 l/100 km; combined 6.9 l/100 km, 111 grams CO2/km; gasoline: 6.8 l/100 km; extra-urban 4.5 l/100 km; combined 5.4 l/100 km, 123 grams CO2/km). The economical three-cylinder comes with a five-speed manual transmission. In bivalent mode this enables a range of up to 1,300 km before refuelling is necessary (based on NEDC).
The LPG version of the #crosslandx is produced at the #opel factory. With hardened valves and valve seat-rings the engine is designed for the highest durability. The electronic multivalve features an optical sensor in the LPG tank, which makes measurement of the remaining fuel much more precise, improving the low-fuel driving experience compared with conventional LPG cars.
The 36-litre LPG tank is located in the spare-wheel well, so that interior space is unaffected. An LED in the instrument panel shows when the #crosslandx is in LPG mode; it goes out as soon as the mode switches to gasoline. The driver can also see the remaining range according to gasoline or LPG.
Tax concession for LPG extended until 2022
In comparison to gasoline, LPG users can save a lot of money at the fuel pump. Long-distance drivers benefit especially. The German government also gives a tax concession for LPG until 2022. Cars that run on LPG, which consists of the gases butane and propane, have less effect on the environment than conventionally fuelled automobiles because they emit lower amounts of carbon dioxide. LPG is available throughout Europe at around 25,000 petrol stations. Germany also has a good LPG infrastructure with 6,200 fuel stations.
Generous driver assistance systems offer
The new #opel #crosslandx offers numerous technologies that make driving more comfortable and relaxing, including full-LED headlights, Head Up display, 180-degree Panorama Rear View Camera, and Driver Drowsiness Detection. The #crosslandx with LPG engine can be ordered in Germany as an “Edition” model variant for €21,200 and as an “INNOVATION” for €22,400 (RRP including VAT).
