Construction of administrative offices at new Nissan truck plant in Argentina progresses

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina – Construction of Nissan's new facility in Cordoba, Argentina, is progressing quickly in preparation to the start of production of the Nissan NP300 Frontier pickup in 2018. Nissan's new office, set to open in the next few weeks with an innovative and modern design, will be used to coordinate operations at the Cordoba plant. Around 150 people will work at the new administrative offices and will manage Nissan's industrial project throughout the entire country.
The project is based on an open space surrounded by a double skin that acts as a weather and sound barrier, making efficient use of resources. Inside, the building is open with a special section created by a central patio that's connected to the reception area and the entrance, creating visual exchange between the interior and the exterior.
In April 2015, Nissan announced that it was going to commence production of pickups in Argentina with an investment of US$600 million, manufacturing more than 70,000 vehicles a year.
Production of pickups in Cordoba is the latest component in Nissan's global manufacturing network and complements its car and crossover manufacturing facility in Brazil.
