The third leg of the "500 Forever Young Tour", the travelling #event that is visiting some of the most beautiful squares in Europe, was held last weekend, involving fans and collectors of the #fiat #500, of both now and then.  In fact, after Italy and France, the special tour went to Germany to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the #fiat #500, an icon that is true to itself, but always current.

Cosmopolitan Munich, the "Mediterranean capital" of Bavaria defined "Italy's northernmost city", was chosen as the site for the third leg. The characteristic Wiener Platz - one of the most famous locations in the Bavarian city, thanks to its permanent market, the smallest in the whole of Munich and the famous Hofbräuhaus tavern - became an open-air theatre. For the occasion, the #fiat brand transformed the Wiener Platz in the Haidhausen quarter into a cross-section of the sixties. The scene included actors in costume and some vintage shops, a flower boutique, an elegant cafe and colourful grocery to represent some of the outstanding products made in Italy, just like the #fiat 500's, which were exhibited inside the premises, including the new special #500 series dedicated to the 60th anniversary.

The star of the German #event was the exclusive special series, which debuts with its elegant two-colour livery - Bianco Tristrato and pastel Avorio - with the evocative name of "Dolcevita". The limited and numbered special series was greeted just like a sixties movie star by the visitors, who photographed it incessantly. Made only in the cabriolet version, the car pays homage to its predecessor with a modern reinterpretation of some of the stylistic elements that made it famous worldwide. These include the vinyl dashboard, the chrome on the bonnet and the vintage logo on its nose, in the middle of its chromed moustache, and on the tailgate and steering wheel. There are retro accents inside too, such as the tubular elements of the ivory leather upholstery with contrasting burgundy stitching, which match the central strip on the dashboard and the two-colour mats.

The special series will also be the star of the next leg of the "500 Forever Young Tour", which will visit another European country close to 4 July, the #fiat 500's official birthday. So, everything is ready to celebrate the 60th birthday of this truly global icon, which has influenced fashion, society and customs from 1957 to the present.
