Comprehensive bidding regulations approved for all finals and final tournaments

The #uefa Executive Committee today met in Cardiff to discuss a wide range of matters related to European football.

The #uefa Executive Committee today met in Cardiff ahead of the #uefa Women’s Champions League final to discuss a wide range of matters related to European football and took the following decisions:
Bidding for finals and final tournaments
To introduce comprehensive bidding regulations covering all #uefa competitions, both at club and national level, and for all age categories, thus ensuring fully open and transparent bidding processes.
UEFA Governance and Compliance Committee
Reinhard Grindel was appointed Chairman of the five-man committee and its two independent members were appointed: José Juan Pintó Sala, a Spanish lawyer and CAS arbitrator, and Charles Deguara, Auditor General of the National Audit Office in Malta.

IFAB matters
The trial of a fourth substitution in extra time, as well as the trial of yellow and red cards for team officials in the technical area at the following final tournaments:o #uefa Women’s EURO 2017;
o #uefa European Under-21 Championship 2017
o #uefa European Women’s Under-19 Championship 2017
o #uefa European Under-19 Championship 2017
The use of yellow/red cards for non-playing staff aims to clarify when a player or official is officially warned or is dismissed from the technical area.
In addition, it was decided to continue with the trial of a new order of kicks for penalty shoot-outs (“ABBA system”) at the 2017 Under-19 and Women’s Under-19 final tournaments.
The next meeting of the #uefa Executive Committee will take place in Nyon on 21 September, following the 13th Extraordinary #uefa Congress of 20 September in Geneva.
