Nissan announces senior management changes in Europe

  • Jordi VILA is appointed Vice President, Sales, Nissan Europe
  • Robert LUJAN is appointed Managing Director, Nissan Nordics Europe

 

Rolle, Switzerland, 25th April, 2017  - Nissan in Europe today announced that Jordi Vila, currently Managing Director of Nissan Nordics Europe, is appointed Vice President, Sales, Nissan Europe effective 1st May, 2017.

In his new role, Vila will be responsible for leading the sales team, driving the profit, volume and market share growth for Nissan Europe.

Vila joined Nissan in 1989 as Export/Area Manager at NMISA. Since then, he has worked in several Sales & Marketing roles across Europe.

As Managing Director of NNE since 2015, he led the Nordics to record volume and profit last fiscal year. Prior to this role, he was Managing Director for the Netherlands, which he also led to a record profit in fiscal year 2014.

From 2011 to 2014 he was General Manager for Fleet & Light Commercial Vehicle Corporate Sales at NESAS and GM for Customer Quality & Dealer Network Development at NITA from 2006 to 2009.

Vila will be based in Rolle and report to Philippe Saillard, SVP S&M, Nissan Europe.

Robert LUJAN, currently Division General Manager, Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Europe, will be appointed Managing Director (MD) Nissan Nordics Europe, succeeding Jordi Vila.

Lujan joined Nissan in 2007 and held various leadership roles in the European organisation before he was transferred to Japan for a global assignment where he held a key leadership role in Nissan’s electric vehicle program.

He has played a key role in developing and fostering a sales performance and planning culture at Nissan in Europe, and in fiscal year 2016 led the LCV business unit in Europe to its first ever consolidated operating profit.

 

He will be based in Helsinki and report to Philippe Saillard, SVP S&M, Nissan Europe. His replacement will be announced shortly.
