Styled with the #verodesign Canestrino scupture in finest white alabaster - Colin Jackson’s form exalts the perfection of Nature and timeless beauty. A hymn to humanity and life.
Vero Design’s mission is to blend the purity of the finest contemporary #design with the skills of the best master Italian artisans. The result is the creation of unique pieces of sheer timeless beauty using the most noble materials.
In the words of #colinjackson: “It has been a real pleasure to celebrate my 50th birthday with a vero.design photoshoot. The pieces they create speak to form, art, Nature and beauty and I am delighted to have had the chance to be portrayed with objects designed and crafted using skills developed over centuries. The sculpted form of the Canestrino reminds me of the training that athletes do over the years, working to #design and craft their bodies and minds to achieve the best possible performance and in my case, for speed and technical achievement. There is a pure Beauty in all of this. A beauty that is timeless and natural.”
Colin Jackson is undoubtedly one of the greatest athletes that Great Britain has ever produced. Before retiring in 2003, Colin was an outdoor World Record holder for 13 years, ranked in the world top 10 for 16 years, with 7 European, 8 Commonwealth, and 9 UK records, not to mention an Olympic Silver medal. Colin has been an integral part of the BBC Athletics coverage since the Athens Olympics, covering every major event since, including the Rio OIympics last summer. Other notable TV highlights include making it to the final of the much loved Strictly Come Dancing and appearing in ITV’s Dancing on Ice Goes Gold in 2012. In 2013 Colin launched his own mass participation event in aid of prostate cancer, Go Dad Run. Since then it has gone from strength to strength and has been expanded to venues nationwide. Colin’s athletic achievements cemented his place as a British Olympic legend, before making a seamless transition to charismatic TV personality.
