Alfa Romeo Giulia wins “Auto Europa 2017”

After two days of testing on  road and on track, votes for the "Auto Europa 2017" contest, assigned by the Italian Union of Motoring Journalists, are in. Alfa Romeo #giulia has triumphed, 100% made in Italy and the most authentic expression of the Alfa Romeo spirit.

During the 31st edition of the award held in the scope of the 4th edition of Smart Mobility World - the most important national and European #event dedicated to sustainable, digital and integrated mobility in the twenty-first century -.the top 21 car models, of which according to the rules of the contest at least 10 thousand must have been produced in Europe and marketed from September 1, 2015 to August 31, 2016, were evaluated by over 100 specialised journalists. Despite the high level of the competition, the fascinating Guilia was awarded the title, a model which embodies all the elements that have made Alfa Romeo one of the most desirable brands in the world.

The important accolade recognises the qualities of this one-of-a-kind car. Getting into an Alfa Romeo #giulia, the symbol of technological excellence and Italian style, means climbing into the centre of this splendid mechanical creation. It is a new automotive dimension, one where functional and dynamic beauty combine to achieve new levels of performance with powerful engines, perfect weight distribution, unique technical solutions, the best power-to-weight ratio in its segment and rear-wheel drive. The latter feature - recently also available with Q4 all-wheel drive - is more than just a simple tribute to the most authentic roots of the Alfa Romeo legend: it is also a technical solution which secures high performance, astounding fun and superlative driving thrills. The #giulia line-up features four trim levels (Giulia, Super, Veloce and Quadrifoglio) and five engine versions, the latter all made in Italy and built entirely in aluminium: 2.2 Diesel 150 HP and 180 HP with six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission; 2.9 V6 Biturbo petrol 510 HP with six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. Furthermore, with the recent début of the #giuliaveloce, the line-up has been recently expanded with the addition of two new engines, both with eight-speed automatic transmission: the 2.0 petrol 280 HP and the 2.2 Diesel 210 HP. Also new on the #giuliaveloce is the Q4 all-wheel drive system for managing the dynamic behaviour of the car in real time while guaranteeing perfect balance in terms of performance, efficiency and safety.
