#bilstein at the PMW 2016 in Cologne
Thanks to the victory of the Black Falcon at the 24 h race at Nürburgring, #bilstein has demonstrated its expertise in motor sports. The chassis experts understand each other both inside and outside of their “second living room”, as the “Nordschleife” is in house often referred to. The Professional MotorSport World Expo, which will be held in #cologne from 9 to 11 November, will provide a small overview of the entire range. #bilstein will set up its exhibit in hall 10 at booth 2024.
Long-distance races are generally a domain of the Ennepetalers. Depending on budget and regulations, the extremely adaptable modular damper system (MDS) provides exactly the right starting points. The four-way version can be seen in #cologne. This is used in the Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Black Falcon, who also won this year’s 24 h race at the Nürburgring.
For the Ennepetalers, an equally exciting and successful time was also the commitment in this year's TCR. The MDS two-way system is representative of the many different vehicles that travel on #bilstein in the popular touring car series.
In its more than 100-year history, professional motorsport has always been a reflection of the time. This is exemplified by the FIA Formula E championships. There, #bilstein was represented with two-way dampers. In the corresponding exhibit, #bilstein once again demonstrated the versatility of its MDS program. No other product in motorsport can demonstrate how adaptable the shock absorbers are better than the #bilstein shock absorbers for the CLM P1/01 by ByKolles #racing. In this LMP1 vehicle, the refined two-way system of #bilstein ensures that all driving systems are as stable as possible and that the aerodynamics are always in the optimal range.
A sporty driving emotion though is not only asked for on the race tracks all over the world – a real sports ace for the road is the Golf GTI, which was first presented in the seventies. For the present series No. VII #bilstein shows on the PMW its clubsports coilover suspension, which, being not only legally approved for roads but also competitive, can be perfectly taken for the occasional trip to the race track.
