Nike train ultrafast flyknit: train fast to play fast

Cristiano Ronaldo’s training off pitch emphasizes explosive, quick lateral cutting movements and hours of footwork — perfect for a player synonomous with speed.  For athletes of every caliber, whether its powering past defenders, competing in the glare of the global spotlight or chasing a personal best, the #nike #trainultrafastflyknit has a new chain-link Flyknit upper and responsive propulsion plate underfoot ideal to provide ultra-responsive containment and stability in the quest to get faster.

“We set out to design the lightest and fastest training shoe,” says Rob Williams, #nike Training Design Lead. To inform their task, the designers studied athletes, including Ronaldo on and off pitch, the Chinese finger trap locking design, and the shape and structure of one of the world’s strongest minerals: diamonds.

“The #nike Train Ultrafast Flyknit’s diamond-shaped Flyknit upper is lightweight, super breathable and linked together in chain-link like system,” explains Williams. “Nike flywire is woven through the Flyknit cables and functions like a Chinese finger trap toy, delivering a 3D containment system that locks down and engages all the way around the foot. Then, we introduced the Flex Speed plate underfoot, cutting diamond shapes out of the underfoot pbax plate in order to push the cushioning through, resulting in superior responsive propulsion for speed training.”

Inspired by what Ronaldo loves about his boots while dominating the game, the Train Ultrafast Flynit includes a flyknit collar and supportive lockdown fit and feel similar to the Nike Mercurial Superfly. Obsessing fast, designers went beyond the gym and pitch to where speed is synonymous, incorporating a new lightweight flex speed plate technology, similar to the plated technology of the Nike Zoom Superfly Flynit, track & field spike that delivers an ultrasponsive propulsion off the toe. And from the repertoire of favorite training designs, the new chain-link Flyknit with flywire borrows from pattern initially explored and inspired by the intertwined bands of the Nike Free Trainer 5.0. that delivers a dynamic fit upper, adjusting and supporting the foot during the rigors of training.

The Nike #trainultrafastflyknit is available June 15 at Nike.com and select retail locations and will be offered in six colorways, bright mango/hyper jade, racer blue/total crimson/blue glow, volt/pink blast/deluxe glow, black/white, hyper jade/volt and wolf grey/hyper jade.
