OIKOS colour and matter for architecture

Starting from the idea of tradition projected into the future, using audacity and energy, Oikos, together with the curators Simone Ciarmoli and Miguel Queda, in collaboration with Vicky Syriopoulou, Oikos Colour Designer, agreed upon an intense experience in search of shades and solutions with which to express and highlight a culture of colour that finds its distant roots in the Italian artistic tradition.

A highly refined artistic ability that, as in the artistic workshops of the renaissance period – pushed the boundaries of experimentation with colour and matter, to realise classic finishes that also remain contemporary in all senses. Simone Ciarmoli explains in this way, his liaison with international leading company in texture solutions:
“in order to express and amplify the message transmitted in “Before Design: Classic”, with its innovative idea of classic, the collaboration with a company like Oikos was fundamental, A company capable of experimentation and the realisation of finishes able to express this particular classic taste, supported by modern technology and by an innovative and visionary interpretation of surfaces and colour”.

Together with Vicky Syriopoulou Colour Design Oikos the curators chose complex finishes, inspired by the golden age of Italian art and culture, the Renaissance, using colours with a sumptuous appearance without loosing depth. The Oikos solutions have become a “skin” for surfaces in every sense of the word with the walls of the rooms brought to life in a symphony of gold, interpreted not just in terms of the colour, but also in terms of the result of an intense and complex process that is thoughtfully inspired by centuries of Italian chromatic culture. Oikos, thanks to its more than thirty years of experience and the deep understanding of the world of classic contemporary colour and surfaces, has been able to interpret, give solutions and shape to the ideas of the curators, with great ability to synthesise the various elements paying great attention to each and every detail. Just like a skilled tailor, the company has prepared a perfect suit, made to measure for the biggest project ever to interpret the classic contemporary style, moulding colour and matter into sumptuous surfaces for the event.

Oikos colours and sustainable matter are once again the stars in the interpretation of Italian artistic history brought into the modern day.
