Oikos at Cersaie 2015

OIKOS colour and matter for architecture is one of the protagonists of Cersaie 2015, to be held at Bologna Fiere from 28 September to 2 October 2015.

The concept that the International Exhibition of Ceramics for Architecture and bathrooms develops around, “Build, live, think”, fully corresponds to the core values of Oikos. Since first established, it has been committed to building a sustainable future, to live in beautiful, healthy environments, decorated without using solvents, and to think of innovative solutions every day, to improve the environment and where we live.

Oikos, whose etymology derives from the Greek word oikos - home environment you live in -, wants to welcome Cersaie visitors in its home, (Pav.22 B46-B67) symbol of hospitality and the sharing of experiences, proposing the Oikos Green Design project: an integrated system of solutions to transform surfaces and all living environments based on innovation, sustainability and beauty.

Choosing Oikos means adding maximum value to the expressive character of surfaces. Oikos colours and matter are the result of a customer's needs and a designer's requests; they are in step with the times and interpret new decorative trends with style and elegance. But never forgetting technical quality, aesthetics and attention to detail. Still with customer satisfaction in mind, Oikos offers a complete project, from creation to implementation thanks to a wide range of products: the treatment, decoration and protection of surfaces. The result of a large scale production process in a cutting-edge industry, that can be processed in unique, unrepeatable solutions thanks to master craftsmen.

The green Oikos approach brings attention back to materials and their performance. Design today means dealing with surroundings and the environment. The Oikos philosophy is globally sustainable thinking: an ethical, creative, rigorous way of working based on the use of natural, green raw materials, adoption of environmentally friendly processes, energy savings, efficiency, recycling and reuse of waste materials. The Oikos world is an existence project writing suggestions for living sustainably in every detail.

For thirty years now, Oikos colours have been signing the surfaces of sustainable architecture and design all over the world: a challenge renewed every day.
